About the reconstruction
PRTools is a Matlab toolbox, constructed by the Delft Pattern Recognition Group for its research on pattern recognition procedure and applications. The design of the toolbox started in 1993 and its development continued until 2018. In 2004 some of the designers of the toolbox participated in a book on classification and parameter estimation. In this book examples have been discussed based on PRTools. The internet site prtools.org facilitated this.
The website, however, disappeared as it didn’t fit in the policy of the university. Moreover, the domain as well as the content were confusingly taken over by some gambling organization. In order to help some users of the book, as well as to document the history, the version of around 2012 has been reconstructed. However, many links might not work.
More recent versions of PRTools might be found, including some documentation, on 37steps.com.
